Screentime’s sales and commercial partnership with Whakaata Māori has seen some incredibly successful campaigns, many of which have been measured to show high awareness amongst the target market, including behavioral change.
We specialise in culturally authentic storytelling. Partnering with Whakaata Māori allows Screentime to work with cultural advisors and fluent speakers to create campaigns that are successful, meaningful, and inclusive.
The campaign Screentime created for the Electoral Commission, which encouraged Māori to get out and vote, resulted in more Māori at the polling booths than ever before.
The campaign was played at high frequency across all time zones on Whakaata Māori from September to the day before voting in October 2024.
Screentime partnered with ACC to drive home the injury prevention message on Whakaata Māori and ACC’s digital channels.
The idea was to create 4 x 60-second commercials covering a number of sporting disciplines with wide appeal to Māori. Each commercial could stand alone or be edited together to tell a longer story.
This campaign was measured by Colmar Brunton, and the results were staggering—not only achieving very high awareness but also resulting in behavioral change. This usually takes years to achieve; however, this campaign reached this success in just four months on-air.
